After the Tucson show is over, we do not have much time before we are back on the road again! We are set to do several shows in both the US and China. The spring show here in Denver is always a lot of fun and is growing under a new management company. Dave Waisman has moved the Houston Fine Mineral Show to the Woodlands and now it is just named the Texas Fine Mineral Show. We have also been doing the CMGS for four years now. The last two years it has been in Chenzhou, China.
First up is the Spring show here in Denver. The Show is run by Colorado Mineral & Fossil Shows. The following is a link to the shows website:
The Spring show here in Denver moved last year to the Crown Plaza Hotel. With Sandra Gonzoloes taking over the fall show from Marty Zinn this year, now both the spring and fall shows will be held there. With ample parking and all dealers being located inside the convention hall it should be a very comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.
The Crown Plaza Hotel located at 15500 E 40th Ave is just north of I-70 at the Chambers Rd exit.
We have a forty foot booth for the spring show and we will have specimens of every quality level available there. From flats of wholesale specimens, keystone specimens, to our finest minerals will be represented. This is a great chance to see the full scope of our inventory! We hope you can stop by our booth and visit with us.
Two weeks after the spring show here, Steve is off to the Woodlands for the new Texas Fine Mineral Show.
The show will be located at the Holiday Inn Express in Shenandoah, TX.
The show dates are April 28th to the 30th. The following is a link to the Fine Mineral Show website for the show.
Dave Waisman always runs a classy show and I am sure this new venue will be a success. Steve will have our finest specimens available for sale in Suite #524. Please contact Steve Behling at 303-885-6885 if you have any questions. Please come by and check us out!
The third week of May we will be at the Chenzhou Convention center for the 5th CMGS (China Mineral & Gem Show)
It is hard to beleive this is the fifth show we will do there. The crowds are always overwhelming and enthusiastic. This is the third year since the show was moved from Changsha to Chenzhou. Logistics are a little more dificult here. There is no airport (yet). If you want to attend you need to take a train to Chenzhou. The high speed trains in China are beautiful and very convenient. I prefer to take them rather than flying in China.
There is an elaborate opening ceremony for the show every year.
There is a lot more effort in booth construction there too. The show committee and other Provincial interests construct very beautiful booths for the show.
The show committee also hosts a banquet for the dealers with lots of great food and entertainment.
Graham is usually the center of attention in our booth!
Attending this show is a bit of an adventure. If you would like information on how to make the proper arrangements, please feel free to contact us. It will be well worth the effort. There are many great tourist sights near Chenzhou, many just a short train ride away!
Doing shows, and visiting with all of our friends, is one of the best parts of our job here. I hope you can attend at least one of these shows. Again, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you may have.
