This chalcocite specimen has sharp pseudohexagonal prism crystallization with slightly iridescent luster. The chalcocite cluster itself is 4 cm across. Chalcocite crystals form in the enriched zones of hydrothermal sulfide vein deposites. A great miniature from a classic North American locality.
