There has been about a twenty five year gap in the availability of specimens from this locality. The azurite suns form between layers of kaolinitic clay. The aggregate was forced to grow in a laterally compressed, radiating manner.
This specimen has three radiating disks of azurite. They are all ~3.5 to 4 cm across. All have good crystal definition and color.
