Here is a selection of beautiful red "rubellite" tourmaline crystals from the Malkhan Pegmatite District in the Transbaikal Region of Russia. The "rubellite" elbaite tourmaline crystals from the Malkhan District in central Russia are among the finest in the world, exhibiting rich cranberry-red color, large crystal size, and aesthetic associations. Major finds were made 2012 and up until ~2017, pockets containing superb tourmaline crystals were still being found at the Sosedka pegmatite and other mines.
