This spectacular group of emerald crystals is one of the largest fine specimens recovered and prepared from the 2009 specimen mining partnership between Gemfields PLC, owner of Zambia's Kagem mine, and Collector's Edge Minerals Inc. Measuring 20 cm tall and with rich green, well-formed emerald crystals to over 14 cm long, this is a stunning display piece that will catch the eye of collectors and non-collectors alike from across a room. The color of the emerald crystals is superb, and the crystals contain small gem-quality areas inside them as can be seen. The aesthetics of this specimen are excellent, with the two main emeralds accented by numerous smaller crystals, all growing out of a contrasting white quartz matrix. Due to their high intrinsic gem value and extreme rarity of well-formed large crystals, good emerald specimens are among the hardest minerals to acquire, and this is a fantastic one.
