Locality: Konder alkaline-ultrabasic massif, Aldan shield, Ayan-Maya district, Khabarovskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russia
Dimensions: .7 x .8 x .7 cm

The Konder massif in Far-Eastern Russia is known as the world's best locality for crystallized Platinum, which is probably the rarest and hardest to acquire crystallized native element which most collectors are looking for. This is a superb 8 x 7 mm group of sharp cubic crystals which are intergrown and penetration-twinned in a style reminiscent of English fluorites. The sharp faces, large size, and multiple crystals make this an exceptional example of crystallized Platinum, and these have now become quite scarce on the market as few are being found and exported from Russia. A choice rarity from the Proctor Family Trust collection.
