The Dal'Negorsk Mining District, situated along the Pacific Coast in Far-Eastern Russia, has long been known for producing the world's finest pyrrhotite crystals, often associated with other attractive minerals like quartz, fluorite and siderite. This is a fine specimen from 1990's finds at the well-known Nikolaevskiy mine, featuring a large hexagonal group of lustrous crystals on minor quartz and dolomite matrix. The pyrrhotite has a beautiful iridescent luster and is aesthetically positioned on the matrix. A Russian classic! Ex - Proctor Family Trust Collection.
