Primo color and large crystal size make this an outstanding Elmwood calcite. Considered by many to be the world's best example of the species, calcite crystals from the Elmwood mine complex (actually 3 mines- Elmwood, Gordonsville and Cumberland) are treasured by collector's around the world for their vibrant color and often large size. This specimen features a large cluster of twinned scalenohedral crystals with undamaged tips and rich golden-yellow color. The crystals are aesthetically placed in dolomite crystal matrix.
