The Shigar Valley region of Pakistan's Skardu District is known as the source of some of the world's finest aquamarine beryl crystals. With their often large size, gemmy interiors, and vivid sky-blue color, it is easy to see why this is. This specimen is particularly aesthetic and interesting, with a large 12 cm tall group of exceptionally-gemmy aquamarine crystals accented by a beautiful "horn" of albite crystals. The aesthetics of the albite on the aquamarine are truly outstanding, and this is an eye-catching example of this desirable gem minerals worthy of the most advanced collector's cabinet.
