A fantastic small cabinet-size group of sharp spinel-law twinned copper crystals to over 6 cm from the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. This specimen is probably from one of the fissure veins in Keweenaw County, such as the Phoenix or Cliff mine, and is a superb example of this style of crystallization in Michigan copper. It it a solid mass of twinned, elongated spear-like crystals, and displays well from multiple angles. A fine old-time Michigan copper with a great provenance. ex-Philadelphia Academy Collection
