Rhodochrosite, Quartz, Sphalerite
Locality: Rainbow Pocket, Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Park County, Colorado USA
Dimensions: 25.5 x 16 x 10 cm
This large cabinet specimen is from the famous Rainbow Pocket discovery at the Sweet Home mine. This is the pocket that the iconic Alma King and Alma Rose were collected from. The color of the crystals on this specimen are deep cherry red and they contrast beautifully on the sulfide matrix. The calcite and quartz add an aesthetic accent as well. This museum quality specimen would be a major addition to any collection. Ex. Dr. Dave Roter Collection. Riley Owen photo.
