This is a very nice group of well-formed acanthite crystals from the Hongda mine in Shanxi Province, China. The Hongda mine briefly produced some of the best acanthite crystals seen from anywhere in recent decades, but now it appears the deposit is exhausted, at least specimen-wise. This is a great Chinese acanthite crystal group with excellent display aesthetics.
