Beryl v. Emerald

A neat emerald specimen on matrix from Afghanistan! While most commonly seen from Colombia and Zambia, Afghanistan is a lesser known producer of high quality emeralds. These are much harder to acquire, and are seldom seen. While not the gemmiest example, this is still a neat example for the species and locality with multiple terminated and double terminated crystals.
