Announcing the Permanent Closure of the Detroit City Portal of the Sweet Home Mine
The Detroit City Portal has yielded quality rhodochrosite specimens from 2018 through the 2024 season. On September 3rd, we announced the permanent closure of the Detroit City Portal. We thank you for nearly 10 years of support in this dream mining venture.
The remaining specimens from the Detroit City Portal, including specimens from the last pocket at the mine – Baker’s Pocket – will be available this year at the Hard Rock Summit, at our fall open house, and on our Sweet Home Collection shop page.
