Copper included calcites from Michigan are amongst North America’s most coveted mineral specimens. They are prized worldwide for their unique looks and rarity. This is a gorgeous example featuring a fantastic large (nearly 5 cm) focal crystal of copper included calcite on a wonderfully contrasting dark matrix with chrysocolla and other secondary copper minerals. The Quincy Mine is famous for these rare prized calcites.
