Elbaite Quartz v. Smoky, Feldspar

A beautiful example of an elbaite tourmaline cluster grouped with smokey quartz and etched feldspar. The largest crystal of the cluster is well-formed and backlights nicely, showing the slight watermelon coloration. The smaller crystal in front shows a healed termination. An aesthetic combination from a classic locality, where single crystal specimens are more common than matrix or combo specimens.
